I want to validate a market

Any user can validate a market, but most probably the market creator will be the most interested in this validation. For that reason, we have facilitated in the same front-end an easy and secure way to send a market to be validated. Please, before uploading a market to be validated, be sure that the market meets the listing criteria. The policy of the list can be read in from this link.

When we push the "Verify Market" we will see this new window

In this case, the name and the starting timestamp will be autocomplete with the market information. We will only have to complete the market description and the tournament format. For the format, you have to choose the option that fit this market:

  • "single-elimination": must be used for sets of questions about the outcomes of single-elimination tournaments.

  • "double-elimination": must be used for sets of questions about the outcomes of double-elimination tournaments.

  • "groups": must be used for sets of questions that can be organized in 1 or more groups (e.g. round robin tournaments or uncorrelated questions not forming a tournament).

  • "GSL": similar to the double-elimination format, but typically used in the group stage of a tournament. The format supports 4 competitors and 5 matches resulting in 2 competitors advancing the group stage.

There are two more fields that are sent to the curation mechanism that are the market hash and a json file with the details of the events, but we have automated this to make it easier for you.

Be careful, because the market has to meet the curation requirements, and you can lose your deposit if these conditions are not met. So please, read the curation policy carefully before sending the market to verification.

When the transaction it's confirmed, a submission to the Kleros Curate list of Sports Questions Set is sent, and after a challenging period of time, if nobody challenges yours submission, the market will be verified. If someone challenges your submission, it's because the market doesn't meet the listing criteria, and you will have to defend your case in the decentralized courts of Kleros. If this is the case, please reach us in our social media channels to get help.
